Should-I-Read-This-Book-Test: If you’ve ever heard (or even still believe) the theory that a man has body, soul, and spirit from some church, then you should read this.

If there’s a book that spiritually revived me recently, it has to be this book.  This is not only a historical research paper, but the author also wrote a very elegant analysis of Watchman Nee’s theology and discuss the influence of Gnosticism.

a little intro:

Watchman Nee is undoubtedly one of the most reknown Asian christian in the world.  His ministry and theology influences perhaps all the asian christians in the world (if not more).  And all of us know the story of the faithful servant of God being arrested by the Communists and got torture to death, and holds fast to his faith.

Well if that’s the case…

Why several years before his arrest his own church decided to stop him from preaching and basically “exiled” him from the church? Is it just because of the minor problem of him owning a private medicine factory?

Why does the Communists stay slient for 4 years after his arrest, then started publicizing Watchman Nee’s trial?

Why does Pastor Ming Dao Wang (also a reputed chinese pastor, although less famous to the young people) put in his diary that Watchman Nee’s arrest “is the act of God’s justice and mercy on Watchman Nee?”
